Fishers Island Birds
The HLFM is maintaining a list of Annual Reported Bird Sightings on Fishers Island and its surrounding waters.
As of January 2025, the presence of 266 different species have been reported.
Monthly lists are tabulated and are accessible on this website. The principal data are collected by a group of knowledgeable Fishers Islanders. Audubon seasonal Bird Counts, eBird reports, visiting birders, iNaturalist entries, and sundry lists are also used for information.
We would greatly appreciate your participation in our project. Please contact the Museum by phone or email to begin receiving the monthly sighting report forms. At the end of each month, take a photo of your list and text or email it to the Museum. Any sightings you can provide are welcome.
