2022 Season Programs

Adult Programs for the 2022 season are all scheduled to be in person at the Museum – some may be simultaneously presented virtually via the ZOOM platform and will be recorded. Details on each program will be posted when known. Changes necessitated by COVID will also be posted.

During July and August, our Children’s Programs will be in-person at the Museum on Wednesdays from 2-3 PM as listed.

Attendance is limited for Children’s programs, so advance registration is recommended.

“Fishers Island Nature Discovery” (FIND) 2022

This year the FIND program will take place during the week of July 18th to July 22nd, from 1PM to 4 PM each afternoon. The program is for children ages 5 to 10.

Educators from the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center will once again run the program in coordination with the HLFM. Please contact Pierce Rafferty at the Museum if you wish to reserve a place for your child in the FIND program: 631-788-7239 or

Nature Walks

Nature walks hosted by Terry McNamara will be held during July and August, 2022 as posted. The group will leave from the Museum at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday mornings.

Fishers Island, Naturally


This year’s Annual Exhibition, complemented by two special exhibitions, celebrates the natural history of Fishers Island, primarily through the lens of contemporary photography, with a focus on both habitats and the diverse species that utilize and/or occupy them.
