    Join us at the Museum for an engaging community art project with Lighthouse Works resident Laurie Lambrecht. We will connect with nature and art by wrapping driftwood with colorful wool yarn to create an adorned nest for the Museum’s Osprey statue. IN-PERSON ONLY.

    Join us at the Museum for an illustrated talk by author, Lance Richardson, who will discuss his eight-year undertaking — including a two-hundred mile trek in the Himalayas of Nepal — to write a biography of the twentieth century literary titan Peter Matthiessen. THE SKETCHBOOKS OF CHARLIE FERGUSON

In the full sweep of Fishers Island’s history, there is no artist more synonymous, more closely associated with Fishers Island than Charles B. “Charlie” Ferguson. The main show features images from two of Charlie's sketchbooks which functioned as illustrated diaries that were filled with daily activities, nature observations, personal notes, and lots of art—drawings, sketches, and watercolors—in various states of completion.
