Welcome to the Fishers Island Treasure Hunt Headquarters

Gather your wits, your courage, and your crew—Captain Kidd’s cursed treasure calls once more! Whispers of ghost ships and skeletal sailors have been seen in our harbors again, which can only mean one thing: the 2025 Fishers Island Treasure Hunt is nearly upon us.

Hosted by the Henry L. Ferguson Museum, this epic, week-long island adventure is open to all. Part puzzle, part pirate legend, all fun—the hunt blends local lore, clever clues, and friendly competition for children ages 6 and under, 7–10, and 11–14. So rally your mates, sharpen your spyglasses, and prepare to chase down a tale centuries in the making.

TEAM REGISTRATION

Everyone is welcome to join the hunt, but all teams must register to receive the first clue!

Sign up below or visit the Museum’s table at the IPP Craft Fair on July 12.
Each team must include an adult point of contact with an email address.
Once you sign up, you’ll receive the location of your first clue by email.
Teams can be any size, and there’s no entry fee.
Hunt for one day or all five—daily and weekly prizes await!

Miss a day? No problem! Missed clues will be posted at 8:00 AM the following morning on the Museum’s Facebook and Instagram pages.

KICKOFF AT THE MUSEUM

Ages 6 & Under:  Thursday, July 17, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Ages 7–10:  Sunday, July 13, 8:00 AM – Thursday, July 17, 12:00 PM

Ages 11–14:  Sunday, July 13, 8:00 AM – Thursday, July 17, 12:00 PM

TROPHIES & PRIZES

The Annual Trophies

6 & Unders: Awarded to the first team to finish the hunt.

Older Groups: Trophies go to the teams that finish each daily hunt and collect the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place Coin found in every Treasure Chest. Teams must sign the logbook inside the chest each day to qualify. Winners are decided using Low Point Scoring (1st place = 1 point, etc.). In case of a tie, organizers will determine the winner.
