FISM 4th Annual Fishers Island Eelgrass Boat Tour

Join the Fishers Island Seagrass Management Coalition for its 4th Annual Eelgrass Boat Tour, featuring the inspiring Jamie Vaudrey, Ph.D., Assistant Research Professor of Marine Sciences, University of Connecticut.

The Henry L. Ferguson Museum

The Museum hosts three main galleries that feature Fishers Island-related Archaeology (Prehistory), Natural History and History, as well as adjacent annual exhibition space and a reference library. In addition, the Museum holds and maintains a Land Trust with properties located on all sections of the Island.

SUMMER HOURS

Tuesday – Friday: 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.; 2-4 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Sunday: 11 a.m. – 12 noon
Closed Mondays

Other times by appointment.

THE SKETCHBOOKS OF CHARLIE FERGUSON

In the full sweep of Fishers Island’s history, there is no artist more synonymous, more closely associated with Fishers Island than Charles B. “Charlie” Ferguson. The main show features images from two of Charlie's sketchbooks which functioned as illustrated diaries that were filled with daily activities, nature observations, personal notes, and lots of art—drawings, sketches, and watercolors—in various states of completion.
