8th Annual Thanksgiving Trail Clearing,
Beach Cleaning and Oyster Gathering
Friday, November 28, 2014
2:00 p.m. – 4:45 p.m.
All trail blazers are invited immediately thereafter to a post-clearing party AT THE MUSEUM starting at approximately 5:00 p.m. to enjoy Fishers Island oysters (thanks to Fishers Island Oyster Farm) and drinks (thanks to Bottlerocket and the Pequot Inn).
Meet at the Museum before proceeding to the Nature Trails.
Please bring tools you are capable of handling effectively and SAFELY.
We suggest you wear long pants, long sleeved shirts, socks and gloves to battle the thorns, ivy, and perhaps a tick or two.
Beach Cleaning By Popular Demand
Driven by popular demand from younger families we will provide heavy duty garbage bags for those interested in trail and beach cleaning.
