An illustrated lecture by Chris Cryder
Chris Cryder, Special Projects Coordinator for “Save the Sound,” is coming back to FI by popular demand. He will present a “virtual tour” of Plum Island while updating the information that he provided during his talk last August at the Community Center.
Plum Island, home to the nation’s foreign animal disease center as well as several endangered species and unique habitats, may soon be sold to the highest bidder. Numerous organizations and concerned citizens are fighting to protect this environmentally important island from development. Join us to learn both the fascinating history of Plum Island and the latest news about our close neighbor.
