May 22 ~ Edwin spent the morning among waterways in Montville, CT and along the Salem border. Starting with Oxoboxo Lake, he briefly headed south, then followed an upper section of Latimer Brook and other streams north to Gardiners Lake, and by mid morning returned to Oxoboxo Lake before heading south again, this time to Bogue Brook Reservoir for the rest of the morning.
After noon, Edwin headed southeast across the Thames River to Groton Reservoir, then returned west across the river, and spent time on Manitcok Hill in Waterford.
Late in the afternoon, he continued west to the Niantic River near Keeny Cove, then headed south to Millstone Point, and returned to the northern section of the river by Evening. After an evening between the Niantic River and Latimer Brook, he spent the night at Latimer Brook.
