This one-week long “Fishers Island Nature Discovery” program is for children. FIND will be led by experienced nature educators who will share their knowledge and love of natural history with our youngest generation.

WEEK 2: August 19th, 2019 (Mon-Fri)

TIME: 9 a.m. to 12 noon

LOCATION: The Henry L. Ferguson Museum

Museum Children’s Program

The program leaders include educators from the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center, Mystic, Conn., Murray Fisher, founder of the Harbor School and the Billion Oyster Project in New York City, and Emily Bodell, a Museum staff member who is the coordinator of the Fishers Island Seagrass Coalition. The week long program will be split into two age groups: ages 5 to 7 and 8 to 10.

The cost per Participant is $300 per week to cover the expense of staff and materials.

This is a wonderful opportunity for young children to develop a love of nature and ecology through participatory learning both at the Museum and in the field. We hope that you will consider signing your child or children up for one or both weeks. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the Museum. You can call or e-mail the Museum to reserve a spot in the session. The registration form has sign-up information, costs, and logistics. (The registration form and payment will have to be received within one week of the initial contact to hold the spot.)
