July 3 ~ After a night at Oxoboxo Lake in Montville, Edwin headed north to Gardner Lake early in the morning. He then headed west towards RT 11, but continued to the Connecticut River. He visited Hadlyme Cove on the east bank of the river and Pattaconk Brook on the west around mid-morning. Next, he headed south to Pratt Cove and looped back across the river to Selden Creek. Before retuning to the lakes region, he spent some time at Hamburg Cove and Eight Mile River around noon.
Edwin spent the rest of the afternoon at Gardner Lake, then moved southeast to nearby Whittle Brook to the for the early evening. He briefly returned to Gardner Lake again before heading back to Oxoboxo Lake for another night.
