May 9 ~ Edwin spent the early morning between Latimer Brook, the Niantic River and Clark Pond in East Lyme, Connecticut. Mid morning he headed southeast towards Jordan Cove in Waterford, but then continued south to Gardiners Island. He reached the middle of the island before noon and spent the rest of the day and night near Gaylor Hole.

May 10 ~ Edwin spent the early morning on Gardiners Island, then headed north and stopped briefly at Orient Point, then continued north to Connecticut.

Edwin reached Latimer Brook before noon and remained there until 3 p.m. He then spent the late afternoon and early evening between Latimer Brook, the Niantic River and Clark Pond. By nightfall he was at the west bank of the Niantic River for the night.
