May 3 ~ Edwin spent the early morning between the Niantic River and nearby Latimer Brook in East Lyme, Connecticut, then headed south to Gardiners Island. He spent the rest of the morning and early afternoon hunting for food all around the island and Gardiners Bay. He also made a brief trip to Springs on Long Island.

In the late afternoon, Edwin returned to Gardiners Island and spent time near Gaylor Hole before heading north to the mainland. Upon his return to Connecticut, he spent the early evening to the west of the Niantic River at Clark Pond. By 9 p.m. had made it back to the west bank of the river for another night.

May 4 ~ In the morning, Edwin made a loop around the Niantic River area, first to Clark Pond and other waterways to the south, then back north to nearby Latimer Brook and Banning Cove, then to smaller streams north of Jordan Cove, to the east in Waterford.

Edwin then headed south and before noon had reached Gardiners Island. He remained through mid-afternoon, then returned north to the Niantic River area. He first circled Keeny Cove east into Waterford, then stopped at Clark Pond to the west, and then continued north to Latimer Brook and Banning Cove for the evening. He spent another night on the west bank of the Niantic River.
