“Illustrated Ospreys”

The 2015 Special Display featured artistic views of our favorite fish-eating raptor Pandion haliaetus that date from the 1700s to the late 1900s.

Included were paintings, etchings, engravings and prints by a variety of noted bird illustrators, including John James Audubon, Allan Brooks, Conte de Buffon, Edward Donovan, Charles B. “Charlie” Ferguson, Charles Frace, Peter Hayman, Edwin Horning, Jr., Art LaMay, J. Fenwick Lansdowne, William Lewin, W.H. Lizars, Greg Mort, Philip Rickman, Johann Seligmann and Alexander Wilson.
