April 24 ~ Edwin spent the early morning on Gardiners Island, then headed north to the mainland via the mouth of the Pattagansett River, then continued north to Bride Lake in East Lyme. April 21 ~ After a night at Barnes Reservoir on the Salem/Montville border, early in the morning, Edwin headed briefly visited a small stream to the south and Miller Pond further east. April 18 ~ After a night on Gardiners Island, Edwin spent most of the morning around Gaylor Hole with a couple of trips to Tobaccolot Pond and back. Just after noon, he headed off the east end and made a northern loop to Little Gull Island and Great Gull Island, then returned to Gaylor Hole

April 13 ~ After a night at Barnes Reservoir in Montville, Edwin Spent most of the day hunting for food along waterways from Old Saybrook to Preston. He first headed southeast and made a brief stop at Four Mile River in East Lyme, then continued west to the Connecticut River, reaching just into Old Saybrook

April 7 ~ After a night on the Niantic River, Edwin spent the morning between nearby Latimer Brook, and Gorton Pond, and Bush Pond to the south. Around noon, he followed Latimer Brook north and reached Barnes Reservoir in Montville around 1 p.m. In the afternoon, he made one trip further north along Latimer Brook

On April 2nd, Edwin spent his first night back in Connecticut in Lyme – north of Hamburg Cove, along 8 Mile River (a tributary of the Connecticut River). On the morning of April 3 he headed south towards the Connecticut River and stopped briefly to the west at the mouth of Joshua Creek near Brockway

THE SKETCHBOOKS OF CHARLIE FERGUSON

In the full sweep of Fishers Island’s history, there is no artist more synonymous, more closely associated with Fishers Island than Charles B. “Charlie” Ferguson. The main show features images from two of Charlie's sketchbooks which functioned as illustrated diaries that were filled with daily activities, nature observations, personal notes, and lots of art—drawings, sketches, and watercolors—in various states of completion.
