Charlie Tracking April 4-5: Mainland and Fishers

Around 7 Am on April 4 Charlie headed from a Waterford home to Banning Cove in East Lyme and remained in the area for the rest of the morning. After noon, he first headed southwest to Gorton Pond, then east across the Niantic River to briefly follow Nevins Brook in Waterford before heading to Fishers

Charlie’s Back on Fishers Island!

On April 2nd, Charlie flew all the way from the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland, through New Jersey, New York and along the Connecticut shoreline to return to Fishers Island shortly after 8 p.m. He spent his first night back at Hay Harbor. April 2 ~ Hay Harbor

On his 13th day of migration (March 30) Charlie reached South Carolina, then passed through North Carolina on his 14th day to reach Virginia (March 31). Charlie in Georgia March 28-29

On March 28, Charlie spent the evening among small lakes near the Flint River in the Bainbridge area of southern Georgia. Charlie reached the Yucatan Peninsula

On (Day 6 - 3/23) of Charlie's migration, he left Nicaragua and reached Honduras. (Day 7 - 3/24) he continued northwest to Guatemala, and on (Day 8 - 3/25) Charlie had reached the Yucatan Peninsula in southeastern Mexico. THE SKETCHBOOKS OF CHARLIE FERGUSON

In the full sweep of Fishers Island’s history, there is no artist more synonymous, more closely associated with Fishers Island than Charles B. “Charlie” Ferguson. The main show features images from two of Charlie's sketchbooks which functioned as illustrated diaries that were filled with daily activities, nature observations, personal notes, and lots of art—drawings, sketches, and watercolors—in various states of completion.
