6/7/14    Charlie makes a trip to the southern shoreline near the nest early in the morning, then heads north to Baker Cove in Groton and returns to the nest area at the west end Transfer Station around 7:30 a.m. He spends the next 4 hours fishing around the west end and returning to the nest

6/3/14    After resting away from the nest in the northwestern trees, Charlie heads out in the early morning to briefly fish on the Thames River in Groton and returns to the nest by 7:30 a.m. He stays near the nest for just over an hour, then fishes at Silver Eel Cove and the northwest shoreline,

THE SKETCHBOOKS OF CHARLIE FERGUSON

In the full sweep of Fishers Island’s history, there is no artist more synonymous, more closely associated with Fishers Island than Charles B. “Charlie” Ferguson. The main show features images from two of Charlie's sketchbooks which functioned as illustrated diaries that were filled with daily activities, nature observations, personal notes, and lots of art—drawings, sketches, and watercolors—in various states of completion.
