Edwin 2014, July 12 – A Day on the Connecticut River

7/12/14    Except for one quick trip nearby south, Edwin spends the entire morning and afternoon along Hamburg Cove on the Connecticut River in Lyme. In the early evening, he heads west of Hamburg Cove and south to North Cove, but returns to Hamburg Cove by 7 p.m. for another night. [raw] [one_half] July 12

7/13/14    Charlie heads to the nest early in the morning and remains from 6 - 8:30 a.m. He then spends much of the day hunting for food all around the west end and returns to the nest briefly in-between, then takes a break from hunting and remains near the nest from 3:15 - 5:15 p.m.

THE SKETCHBOOKS OF CHARLIE FERGUSON

In the full sweep of Fishers Island’s history, there is no artist more synonymous, more closely associated with Fishers Island than Charles B. “Charlie” Ferguson. The main show features images from two of Charlie's sketchbooks which functioned as illustrated diaries that were filled with daily activities, nature observations, personal notes, and lots of art—drawings, sketches, and watercolors—in various states of completion.
