Charlie Tracking June 8 ~ Charlie spent the early morning mostly near the nest at the west end transfer station, with quick trips to the southern shoreline, Baker Cove on the Groton mainland, and Hay Harbor back on-island. He spent the late morning and early afternoon making more quick trips around the west end and returned to the nest in-between. Mid afternoon, Charlie made a second trip to the mainland, visiting Baker Cove, then the Thames River, and then stopped briefly on a pole along the Clarence B. Sharp Highway before continuing on to Trails Pond and Groton Reservoir. He then followed the Poquonnock River south and returned to Fishers Island. He spent the early evening near the nest and around nightfall headed to trees on Beach Ave.

Charlie Tracking June 9
June 9 ~ Charlie briefly visited the nest around dawn, then made an early morning trip to the Thames River, north of the Gold Star Bridge, and returned to Fishers Island to spend the rest of the morning near the nest. He spent the early afternoon making trips between Hay Harbor and the western shoreline, visiting the nest in-between. Mid-afternoon, Charlie made another trip off-island, this time to the Poquonnock River, Groton Reservoir and the Thames River. He then stopped on a pole along the Clarence B. Sharp Highway before returning to Fishers, mid-island, and was back at the nest before evening. During the evening he made trips to Hay Harbor and Silver Eel Cove, then spent the night near the nest.
