May 26 ~ A Day on Fishers Island. Charlie spent most of the morning near the nest at the west end transfer station, with one mid-morning trip to Hay Harbor and back.

Around noon, Charlie hunted for food along the southern shoreline, then spent the rest of the afternoon, near the nest. In the early evening, he made a couple more trips to the southern shoreline and returned to the nest, then headed to Hay Harbor for the night.

May 27 ~ Two Trips Off-Island. Around Dawn, Charlie visited the nest, then returned to Hay Harbor. He then made a trip off-island to Baker Cove and the Thames River area near the Gold Star Bridge in Groton, CT, and then returned to the nest on-island after noon.

In the early afternoon, Charlie hunted for food along the southern shoreline and returned to the nest, then made a second trip off-island. He followed the Poquonnock River toward Groton Reservoir, and then headed northwest to the Thames River area above the Gold Star Bridge. He returned to the nest on-island late in the afternoon and spent the evening between the nest, the southern shoreline and Hay Harbor Golf Course, then spent the night near the nest.
