May 1 ~ Charlie spent the early morning visiting the nest at the west end transfer station, then made a trip to the mainland to hunt for food at Keeny Cove in Waterford. He returned to Fishers Island and spent the late morning and early afternoon hunting for food around the west end and visiting the nest.

He spent the late morning off-island at the Thames River and Baker Cove in Groton and returned to the island around noon. He spent the afternoon mostly near the nest and also visited nearby Hay Harbor Golf Course. In the early evening Charlie made another trip to Baker Cove and the Thames River and returned to the nest area for the night.
