5/18/14 Just before 7 a.m., Charlie heads toward Groton, then crosses the Thames River around Fort Trumbull to reach Keeny Cove around 7:40 a.m. and then returns to the nest on Fishers Island before 8:30 a.m. He fishes around the Island for the rest of the morning then around 1:30 p.m. makes his second trip to the mainland to fish. He first heads to Bakers Cove in Groton, then to the Thames River near the Gold Star Bridge, then heads west and circles back through New London and Waterford to return to the Island by 3:15 p.m. He remains at the nest area except for one short nearby fishing trip and around 9 p.m. heads back to his night spot northwest of the nest for the night.
