From May 4-6 Charlie spent much of the day making trips between the west end of Fishers Island and the Niantic River area of Connecticut, presumably to provide fish for the female on the nest:
5/4/14 Around 5:30 a.m. Charlie heads to the mainland and reaches the Niantic River shortly after 6 a.m. but quickly returns to the Island and circles the west end before heading out again around 9:30 a.m. to reach Kenny Cove by 10 a.m. Around 11 a.m. he heads back to Fishers Island. Around 1 p.m., Charlie heads out again to fish along the Niantic River and Latimer Brook until 3 p.m., when he appears to be heading back to the Island but circles back before reaching New London and spends the rest of the afternoon at Latimer Brook and the Niantic River. Around 6:30 p.m., he heads back to the west end of Fishers Island for the rest of the night.

5/5/14 Around 5:30 a.m. Charlie heads to Keeny Cove to fish and returns to the Island around 7:30 a.m. Just before 9 a.m. he heads out again, this time by way of the Groton shore back to Keeny Cove and returns to the nest around 10:30 a.m. He spends the next few hours on the western end of the Island, then just after 3 p.m. heads back to the Niantic River area and Latimer Brook. Around 6 p.m. Charlie heads back to the nest on Fishers Island and remains in the area for the night.

5/6/14 Around 6:30 a.m. Charlie heads to the Niantic River and immediately returns to Fishers Island by 8 a.m. He then spends some time around the west end of the Island before heading back to the Keeny Cove around 9:45 a.m. Before noon, he returns to the Island but heads out again around 3 p.m. for a final trip to Keeny Cove until 5 p.m., then returns to Fishers Island for the night.
