The American eel (Anguilla rostrata) represents a kind of occult, slippery “nature,” a historically mysterious species that continues to baffle scientists today. While the broad outlines of the eel’s multistage, bizarre, complex life cycle are known, far more questions than answers remain. Dr. Adam Jadhav, speaks about his extensive interdisciplinary research on American Eels.
About Adam
Adam Jadhav earned his PhD in Geography from the University of California at Berkeley. Mixed methods researcher focused on coastal/marine spaces in India through lenses of political ecology, development theory, peasant studies, agrarian change, neoliberalism and the like.
