On June 2, 2025 the ospreycam at Middle Farms nest captured the second chick hatching from its egg – 2 days after the first chick hatched. Neighboring grackle continued to harass the parents as they provided fish for the chicks and tended to the nest and the remaining egg.

The video clips below capture some of the nest activities during the first two days for the second chick.

JUNE 2: Mom is feeding her chick and a grackle harasses her – then a wing pops up to the left of mom. Soon after she moves over to nestle the hatching chick along with the first chick, and the remaining egg.

JUNE 2: Dad visits the nest looking for fish scraps and receives a viewing of the newest osprey chick.

JUNE 2: In this extended clip dad delivers fish and mom feeds both chicks for a bout 20 minutes – then she is harassed by a grackle and dad returns to help. He leaves soon after and the exhausted chicks are resting while mom finishes eating.

JUNE 2: Dad delivers some seaweed for the osprey nest and tends while mom takes a quick break.

JUNE 3: Both osprey tend the nest and are harassed by grackle.
