Museum Director Pierce Rafferty will survey the evolution of brick making on F.I. from the first Winthrop oven in the 1650s to the massive Brick Yard kilns of the late 19th century that could produce up to 18,000,000 bricks a year.
NOTE: This talk is a last minute substitute for Lee Attix’s scheduled lecture on loons, “Restore the Call.” Mr. Attix had to cancel due to an illness.
