9/6/14 UPDATE: Charlie's data was initially lost for a few days, but on Sept 9th we were able to retrieve the full account of the day. Charlie spends the early morning at the trees on Winthrop, then makes trips to Hay Harbor and the western and southern shorelines, and then spends from 11:15 - 11:45

Charlie Tracking: Sept 4 – Hay Harbor and Western Shoreline

9/4/14    Early in the morning, Charlie heads to the western shoreline to hunt for food, then returns to the western edge of Hay Harbor briefly before moving to the southeastern edge from 8 - 11 a.m. Late in the morning, he makes another trip off the western shoreline, and then heads to the trees on

THE SKETCHBOOKS OF CHARLIE FERGUSON

In the full sweep of Fishers Island’s history, there is no artist more synonymous, more closely associated with Fishers Island than Charles B. “Charlie” Ferguson. The main show features images from two of Charlie's sketchbooks which functioned as illustrated diaries that were filled with daily activities, nature observations, personal notes, and lots of art—drawings, sketches, and watercolors—in various states of completion.
