MARCH 28 ~ After two nights on Gardiners Island, Edwin spent the morning and much most of the afternoon between Gaylor Hole, mid-island and Bostwick Creek, along the north end. He then headed off island and returned to East Lyme Connecticut. Late in the day, he visited Latimer Brook near the Niantic River and followed it’s upper stretches north, then turned west towards Lyme. He visited Eight Mile River in the evening before turning south and settling at Norwich Pond for the night.

MARCH 29 ~ Before dawn, Edwin headed south of Norwich Pond in Lyme, CT and briefly visited Rogers Lake, then north to Eight Mile River. He then headed south again and visited Lords Cove along the Connecticut River, and before noon left the mainland for Gardiners Island. Upon reaching the island, he spent the afternoon near Gaylor Hole. In the evening, Edwin made trips to Bostwick Bay at the north end and returned to the Gaylor Hole area, then settled in trees near Tobaccolot Pond for the night.
