April 20 ~ Charlie spent most of the morning and early afternoon near the nest at the west end Transfer Station, with 2 brief trips to Waterford on the mainland. He returned to Fishers Island around 2:30 p.m. and remained near Hay Harbor for the rest of the day and night.

April 21 ~ Charlie spent the pre-dawn hours near Hay Harbor, then headed to Keeny Cove in Waterford early in the morning. He then returned to the nest on Fishers Island and spent the rest of the morning through noon hunting for food around the west end.

Mid afternoon, Charlie started to head off-island southwest towards Little Gull Island, but stopped short and circled back briefly to Hay Harbor, then headed north towards Groton Long Point and Noank, CT. He continued northeast through Mystic and reached the Shunock River in North Stonington around 4:30 p.m. He then continued northeast again and by 5:30 p.m. had crossed the border into Rhode Island to briefly visit Long Pond, Wincheck Pond and other ponds in the Rockville/Hope Valley area. He eventually returned to Fishers Island before 8 p.m. and remained near Hay Harbor for the night.

April 22 ~ Charlie visited the nest early in the morning, then headed north off-island, to Groton Long Point and continued northeast to the Shunock River/ Spalding Pond areas of North Stonington, Connecticut. He then continued into Rhode Island and turned south to follow the shoreline from Charlestown back to Groton. Charlie was back on-island by 9:30 a.m. and briefly visited Silver Eel Cove and the nest.

He then made a second trip off-island, to Alewife Cove on the New London/Waterford border and returned to Fishers Island by noon. He spent the afternoon hunting for food around the west end and visiting the nest in-between. Late in the afternoon, he made a third trip off-island late to Baker Cove in Groton and returned in the early evening. He visited Silver Eel Cove and spent the night near Hay Harbor.
