April 17 ~ After a night near the nest at the west end Transfer Station, Charlie made an early morning trip to Latimer Brook in East Lyme, CT then returned to Fishers Island. He spent the rest morning mostly near the nest and hunting for food at Silver Eel Cove. In the afternoon he made another trip to the mainland, first to Baker Cove in Groton, then to Alewife Cove on the New London/Waterford border. Charlie was back at the nest area by 5 p.m. and around 8:30 p.m. headed to trees southwest of Hay harbor for the night.

April 18 ~ After a night near Hay Harbor, Charlie hunted for food off the southern shoreline, then visited the nest. He then made a trip off island to the mouth of the Thames River, and then stopped at Mitchell College in New London before returning to the nest on Fishers Island from 8:45-9:15 a.m.

He spent the late morning and early afternoon hunting for food around Fishers Island – at times reaching as far east as Middle Farms Pond and returning to the nest in between. Mid afternoon, he made a brief second trip to the mainland, to Alewife Cove on the New London/Waterford border and returned to the nest for the rest of the afternoon. In the evening Charlie hunted around the west end and returned to the nest, then around 8:30 p.m. he headed to the trees near Hay Harbor for the night.

April 19 ~ Charlie spent the early dawn hours between Hay Harbor and the nest at the west end Transfer Station. He then headed to Latimer Brook in East Lyme and returned to Fishers Island around 8 a.m.

He spent the rest of the morning and just after noon hunting for food between the west end and Middle Farms Pond and returned to the nest in-between trips. He then made another trip to the mainland to hunt for food at Alewife Cove on the New London/Waterford border and returned to the nest area from 2:30-4 p.m.
In the late afternoon and early evening, Charlie hunted for food, between Hay Harbor and the southern shoreline, but returned to the nest in-between. By 8:30 p.m. he was just north of the nest for the night.
