Charlie Tracking, April 6 ~ After a night at Miller Pond in Waterford, Charlie began the first of 2 loops and headed south to the Niantic River area of East Lyme, visiting Banning Cove and Smith Cove until mid morning. He then headed back to Waterford and visited Brandegee Lake and Perry Pond before continuing east across the Thames River to Groton. He visited Baker Cove, then Groton Reservoir, and continued to follow waterways north across the Thames back to Miller Pond by 1 PM. Around 3 p.m., he made a shorter loop, first to Latimer Brook, then to Brandegee Lake and returned to Miller Pond around 4:30 p.m. where he remained for another night.
