After spending the night at Branson Lake Reservoir, in Fayetteville, North Carolina on March 28, Edwin continued north on his 19th day of Migration to John H. Kerr Reservoir in northern North Carolina (March 29). The next morning, he headed northeast and reached the Patuxent River (a Tributary in Maryland) west of the Chesapeake Bay (March 30).
