7/24/14 Edwin spends the early dawn hours at Horton Cove on the Thames River in Montville. Around 7 a.m., he heads south and reaches Baker Cove on the Groton shoreline around 8:15 a.m., then continues south to reach the southern shoreline of Fishers Island around 8:45 a.m., and then heads further south to reach Gardiners Island around 9 a.m. Edwin spends the rest of the morning between Home Pond, Gaylor Hole, Tobaccolot Pond and trees in-between, then takes a break in the trees from 11:45 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. In the early afternoon, he spends more time around the middle of the island, with short breaks among trees, then from 3:30 – 5 p.m. hunts for food along the northern shoreline before heading to the northwestern shore and off island around 5:15 p.m. He reaches Plum Island around 5:30 p.m. and continues north.

He reaches the Connecticut shoreline in Old Lyme by 6 p.m. and heads west to the Connecticut River and is back at Hamburg Cove by 6:45 p.m. (after a night away). In the evening, Edwin makes one brief trip west of the cove, but then returns for the night.
