6/30/14    In the early morning Charlie hunts for food north of the nest, then spends from 6:30-7:30 a.m. near the nest. He then makes a quick trip to the southwestern shore and returns to nest from 7:30-8:30 a.m., and then spends the rest of the morning making trips all around the west end, returning to the nest in-between. Around 12:30 p.m., (for the first time in more than 10 days), he makes a trip to the mainland.  He reaches just beyond the mouth of the Thames River, then loops into New London and back to the Thames, then returns to Fishers Island by 1:30 p.m., but hunts all around the west end shoreline before retuning to the nest from 3-5:15 p.m. In the evening, Charlie makes a loop to the northern shoreline and returns to the nest from 5:30-6:15 p.m., and then makes a quick trip west and returns from 6:30-8:15 p.m. He makes a final trip northeast before heading to his night spot in the trees northwest of the nest by 9:30 p.m.
