6/1/14 Around 5:30 a.m., Charlie makes a trip north to the Thames River to hunt for food and returns to the nest on the west end of Fishers Island by 7:30 a.m. He remains near the nest until around 9 a.m. and then makes multiple trips around the west end, returning to the nest in-between, until 11:30 a.m. He then makes a second trip to the Thames River to fish, this time by way of Baker Cove in Groton and returns to the nest by 12:15 p.m.

Charlie spends most of the afternoon by the nest, then around 4:30 p.m., he makes a third trip to the Thames River, reaching as far north as the Fishers Island Ferry Station, then turns east and spends about a half hour on a telephone pole along the Clarence B Sharp Highway before returning south to Fishers Island by 5:45 p.m.

He spends the next two hours near the nest except for one quick trip to the shoreline to the north, then around 7:45 p.m., makes a fourth trip to Groton to reach Fairview just north of the Gold Star Bridge and returns to the Island by 9 p.m. He stays at one of his night spots in trees to the northwest of the nest past midnight, then around 1:15 a.m. heads to the nest for the rest of the night.
