From late August through the first week of September, the osprey chick continued calls for fish at Middle Farms nest.
During a couple visits to the nest over these two weeks, the osprey chick appeared to be wet but it is unknown if it succeeded in catching any fish on its own. It continued to beg for food daily and the fish were eaten away from the nest. Other than during these brief fish deliveries, it was rare to see anyone other than the chick on the nest, as it continued to defend it aggressively – either directly from the nest, or from the camera, or other nearby areas. The chick also continued to gather nesting materials from the nest on occasion but it is unknown where they were taken to.
