Feb 26 – March 3 ~ Edwin began his return north and left South America – to cross the Caribbean Sea.

March 4-9 ~ Edwin stopped in Haiti on March 4, then continued north to reach Guantanamo, Cuba on the 5th. He then headed to the western shoreline and remained in Manzanillo, Cuba near Rio Cauto through March 9th.

March 10-14 ~ On March 10, Edwin resumed his journey, heading northwest through Cuba, then north across the Straits of Florida and reached Key West on March 14. After a brief stop, he continued north and spent his first night back in the U.S. along Lake Tohopekaliga in Kissimmee, Florida (Osceola County, just south of Orlando).

March 15 ~ Edwin continued north early in the morning and crossed into Georgia around nightfall. He spent time along the St. Mary’s River and Fancy Bluff Creek, near the Cumberland Sound shoreline in the evening, then continued north.

March 16 ~ Edwin continued north following waterways along the Sparrow Swamp watershed in South Carolina, then spent the night near Lake Swamp in Florence County.

March 17 ~ On St. Patricks day Edwin resumed his trip north and reached Jordan Lake, in Orange County, North Carolina.
