July 20 ~ Edwin spent the early morning near Tobaccolot Pond on Gardiners Island. Mid-morning he visited the nearby Eastern Plain Point area, then circled back across the island to Gardiners Bay, and then visited the Cherry Hill Point area on the western shoreline. Before noon, he headed south to Long Island.
Edwin reached Springs, on eastern Long Island and visited Acabonac Harbor, then headed west to Bridgehampton and visited the Kellis Pond area. Next, he headed north, and visited the Sag Harbor Bay area and continued east to Gardiners Bay and back to Springs. He then returned to Gardiners Island to the wooded area near Tobaccolot Pond.
Edwin remained in the wooded area near Tobaccolot Pond for the rest of the day and another night.

July 21 ~ Edwin spent the early morning in a wooded area just west of Tobaccolot Pond, then made a trip to the southern shoreline and back. In the late morning, he headed off-island to the Northwest Harbor area of Long Island, then returned to the wooded area back on Gardiners Island.
In the early afternoon, Edwin visited Tobaccolot Pond and remained in the area for a while, then visited the northern shoreline and Bostwick Creek, before heading off-island to the north. He visited Plum Island, then continued to Black Point on the Connecticut mainland. Next, he visited the Pattagansett River and followed other waterways west to the Connecticut River. By early evening, he had crossed the river to North Cove in Old Saybrook.
In the evening, Edwin moved further west to Lake Rockview for the night.

July 22 ~ Before dawn, Edwin crossed the Connecticut River east, and visited the Lieutenant River in Old Lyme. By daybreak, he had continued north to visit the Lord Cove area of the Connecticut River, and by late morning had reached Hamburg Cove area.
Edwin spent the rest of the morning and all afternoon at Hamburg Cove.
In the evening, Edwin made a trip out of the cove, to the confluence of Eight Mile River and the Connecticut River and returned. By nightfall, he moved further north along Eight Mile River for the night.

July 23 ~ Edwin spent the morning and early afternoon at Hamburg Cove along the Connecticut River.
Mid afternoon, Edwin followed the river south to North Cove and nearby areas. He then made a trip further west to the Mud River in Essex, then returned north to Hamburg Cove.
In the evening, Edwin moved to a section of Eight Mile River further north for another night.
