Charlie Tracking July 9
July 9 ~ Early in the morning, Charlie visited Silver Eel Cove, Hay Harbor, and the southern shoreline, returning to the nest in-between. Mid-morning, he headed off-island to the mouth of the Thames River. He then followed the river north, past the Gold Star Bridge to Long Cove. Around noon, he returned south, past Groton Reservoir, to the nest on Fishers Island.
Mid-day Charlie visited the western shoreline, then headed off-island again. He returned to the Thames River and followed it to Long Cove, then took a break among some nearby trees. He returned to the nest on-island in the early evening, then made a final trip to the western shoreline before settling near the nest for the night.

July 10 ~ Early in the morning, Charlie visited Silver Eel Cove and the southern shoreline then returned to the nest area. Mid-morning, he visited the western tip of the island and returned to the nest, then headed to the southern shoreline and made trips out over open water to the south. He then took a break at the airport through early afternoon.
Mid-afternoon, Charlie returned to the nest, then visited the southern shoreline and headed to some trees on Beach Ave through early evening. In the evening, Charlie visited the southern and western shorelines, then briefly returned to the nest before heading near Hay Harbor for the night.

July 11 ~ Charlie visited the southern shoreline near the nest early in the morning, then stopped by the nest. Next, he visited the southern and western shorelines and made a loop towards mid-island, out over open water to the south, then returned to the nest again. He remained not far from the nest through early afternoon.
Mid-afternoon, Charlie headed to Hay Harbor and the Silver Eel Cove area, then made another loop over open water to the south, and returned to the nest, where he remained though early evening. Mid-evening, he made another trip to the western shoreline, then headed to trees on Beach Ave for the night.
