June 10 ~ Early in the morning, Charlie made a brief trip to Hay Harbor and returned to the nest at the west end transfer station, then made trips to West Harbor, the southern shoreline, and Silver Eel Cove before heading off-island to the mouth of the Thames River. He then took a short break on a pole along the Clarence B. Sharp Highway in Groton, before returning to Fishers Island. He spent the late morning and early afternoon near the nest with a couple of trips to the southern shoreline. Mid-afternoon, Charlie made a second trip to the Thames River, and stopped along the Clarence B. Sharp Highway before returning to the nest around 5 p.m., then remained near the nest for the night.
