May 1 ~ Edwin spent the early morning at Latimer Brook in East Lyme, then headed south to Gardiners Island. He spent the rest of the morning and early afternoon at Gaylor Hole and nearby Home Pond and Cherry Harbor.

Mid afternoon, Edwin made a trip north to Plum Island, then returned to Gardiners around 5 p.m. and remained near Gaylor Hole. In the early evening, he returned to the mainland and around 8 p.m. was along the west bank of the Niantic River for the night.

May 2 ~ Edwin spent the early morning along the Niantic River and nearby Latimer Brook. He then made a brief trip east to the Jordan Cove area of Waterford and returned by late morning. He spent the rest of day between Latimer Brook, Banning Cove and the Niantic River and the night on the west bank of the river.
