Charlie Tracking May 20 ~ Charlie visited the nest before dawn, then in the early morning made a brief trip off-island to the Thames River and Baker Cove in Groton, CT. After returning to the nest at the west end transfer station, he spent the rest of the morning hunting for food off the southern shoreline and visited the nest in-between trips.

In the afternoon, Charlie made local trips to Hay Harbor, West Harbor and the southern shoreline, then headed off-island for a second trip to Groton and visited Baker Cove and then the Thames River, north of the Gold Star Bridge. Before returning to to the nest on-island, he stopped for a break along the Clarence B Sharp Highway in Groton. In the early evening, he made trips to Hay Harbor and the southern shoreline, and visited the nest, before heading to Hay Harbor for the night.
