May 11 ~ Charlie spent the early morning between Hay Harbor and the nest at the west end transfer station on Fishers Island.

Mid morning, Charlie headed north off-island to Mumford Cove and continued through Groton to hunt for food on the Thames River, just north of the Gold Star Bridge. He spent time on the east bank before returning to Fishers Island around 1 p.m. He then spent the rest of the afternoon between the nest and the airport before making a second trip to the Gold Star Bridge area in the early evening. On his way back through Groton, he took a break on a light pole along the Clarence B Sharp Highway, then spent the rest of the night back on-island near the nest.

May 12 ~ Charlie spent the early morning between the nest and nearby southern shoreline, then made a brief trip to Groton and back.

He spent the rest of the morning and the afternoon mostly between the nest and Hay Harbor, then made a second trip to Groton to hunt for food along Baker Cove and north of the Gold Star Bridge. Charlie returned to the nest on the west end of Fishers Island early in the evening, then spent the night near Hay Harbor.
