April 7 ~ After a night on the Niantic River, Edwin spent the morning between nearby Latimer Brook, and Gorton Pond, and Bush Pond to the south. Around noon, he followed Latimer Brook north and reached Barnes Reservoir in Montville around 1 p.m. In the afternoon, he made one trip further north along Latimer Brook to a smaller pond, then returned to Barnes Reservoir for the night.

April 8 ~ Early in the morning, after a night at Barnes Reservoir in Montville, Edwin returned to Latimer Brook in East Lyme. He then headed west to spend the late morning and early afternoon along the Eight Mile and Connecticut Rivers in Lyme. In the late afternoon, he headed north along the East Branch Eight Mile River into Salem, then returned to East Lyme and spent the night at Powers Lake.

April 9 ~ After a night at Powers Lake in East Lyme, Edwin headed north to the East Branch Eight Mile River in Salem, then around noon he headed southeast through Montville and stopped briefly at Lake Konomoc before continuing across the Thames River into Groton. He then headed south and reached Gardiner’s Island around 3 p.m. and spent the rest of the day and night Between Gaylor Hole and Tobaccolot Pond.
