April 24 ~ Edwin spent the early morning on Gardiners Island, then headed north to the mainland via the mouth of the Pattagansett River, then continued north to Bride Lake in East Lyme. He reached Latimer Brook and the Niantic River mid morning.

Late in the morning, Edwin headed west and spent the early afternoon at the North Cove section of the Connecticut River. Mid afternoon, he followed Eight Mile River as far north as Route 11 in Salem, then turned back and was back on the Niantic River in the early evening. By 7:30 p.m., he had moved to nearby Darrow Pond for the night.

April 25 ~ In the morning, Edwin made a loop, starting with Latimer Brook which he followed south from Darrow Pond in East Lyme. He then continued south along the Pattagansett River to Dodge Pond and the shoreline. From there, he headed west to the Connecticut River and followed it north to Eight Mile River, which he followed to Salem further north. Then he headed east to Montville and stopped at a section of Latimer Brook north of where he started.

In the early afternoon, Edwin followed Latimer Brook south again, this time to the Niantic River and took a break among nearby trees west. He spent the early evening just north at Banning Cove, and by 7:30 p.m. was back on the west bank of the Niantic River for the night.

He returned to the Niantic River in the early afternoon, then visited Keeny Cove and Jordan Cove further east in Waterford. In the early evening, Edwin briefly stopped by Niantic Bay, then returned to the Niantic River. He then made a trip to nearby Latimer Brook before returning to the river again for the night.
