April 21 ~ After a night at Barnes Reservoir on the Salem/Montville border, early in the morning, Edwin headed briefly visited a small stream to the south and Miller Pond further east. He then headed southwest and was at the Niantic River by mid morning. Edwin spent the rest of the day between the Niantic River and Latimer Brook and the night on the west bank of the river.

April 22 ~ Edwin spent the pre-dawn hours on the Niantic River and nearby Latimer Brook, He then headed southeast to Waterford early in the morning, then continued east across the mouth of the Thames River to Baker Cove. He made a loop to Groton Reservoir and back to the cove, then continued south to Fishers Island around 9:30 a.m. He briefly visited Hay Harbor and the nest at the west end Transfer Station.

After leaving Fishers Island, Edwin continued south and spent the rest of the morning and early afternoon on Gardiners Island, near Gaylor Hole. On his return north to the mainland in the late afternoon, Edwin briefly stopped at Plum Island, then the Pattagansett River near Black Point before eventually returning to the west bank of the Niantic River for another night.

Edwin spent the late morning at Tobaccolot Pond and other areas on the east and south ends of the island, then took a break from noon to 2 p.m. He spent the late afternoon at the shore near Gaylor Hole and around 8 p.m. settled in some trees near Tobaccolot Pond for the night.
