April 18 ~ After a night on Gardiners Island, Edwin spent most of the morning around Gaylor Hole with a couple of trips to Tobaccolot Pond and back. Just after noon, he headed off the east end and made a northern loop to Little Gull Island and Great Gull Island, then returned to Gaylor Hole on Gardiners Island by mid afternoon.

Late in the afternoon, he headed north off island again, this time reaching Latimer Brook in East Lyme for the early evening. Around 8 p.m. he was nearby along the left bank of the Niantic River for the night.

April 19 ~ After a night on the Niantic River, Edwin visited nearby Latimer Brook briefly in the early morning, then headed south. He reached Gardiners Island around 8:30 a.m. and remained until after noon.

In the early afternoon, he returned to the mainland and headed northwest to East Branch Eight Mile River in Salem, where he remained from 2 p.m. through early evening. He then headed east and reached Bogue Brook Reservoir on the Salem/Montville border around 9 p.m. and remained through the night.

April 20 ~ A DAY ON THE MAINLAND: After a night at Bogue Brook Reservoir on the Salem Montville border, Edwin headed south to Latimer Brook in East Lyme. He then headed west to the Connecticut River and followed it north to the Hamburg Cove/Eight Mile River section by mid morning and remained through noon.

In the early afternoon, he headed northeast following East Branch Eight Mile River to the Route 11 section of Salem, where he remained from 3:30 p.m. through early evening. Around 7:30 p.m. Edwin was further east at Barnes Reservoir for the night.
