6/7/14 Charlie makes a trip to the southern shoreline near the nest early in the morning, then heads north to Baker Cove in Groton and returns to the nest area at the west end Transfer Station around 7:30 a.m. He spends the next 4 hours fishing around the west end and returning to the nest in-between. Around 11:30 a.m., he makes a second trip to the mainland, and reaches north of the Gold Star Bridge along the Thames River, then heads west to fish at the Niantic River/Banning Cove/Latimer Brook area from 12-1 p.m. He then spends from 1:15-1:45 p.m. at Alewife Cove in New London before returning to the island.

Charlie remains near the nest from 2-4 p.m. except for one trip to Silver Eel Cove and then the southern the shoreline and returns. He then makes a few more trips around the west end, and around 5 p.m. makes a third trip to the mainland, first to Pine Island, then up the Thames River to Long Cove and Mill Cove, then turns back south towards the Gold Star Bridge, then southwest into New London, stops for 15 minutes on a telephone pole along the railroad tracks in Waterford, then returns to the nest on the island from 6:45-8 p.m. He makes a final trip to the southern shoreline to fish then takes a break in the trees to the northwest of the nest from 8:45-11 p.m., then returns to the nest area for the rest of the night.
