June 6 In the early morning, Charlie fishes at the shoreline north of the trees where he spent the night, then spends time at the nest area from 7-8:30 a.m. He then fishes along the southern shore just east of the nest and returns to the nest area. Around 10 a.m., he heads to the southern shore west of the nest, then heads north to leave the island and reaches the mouth of the Thames River around 10:20 a.m., and then spends a half hour in some trees in a residential area near Baker Cove in Groton before returning to the nest on the west end of Fishers Island by 11:20 a.m. He spends the next hour fishing along the southern shoreline and Silver Eel Cove, returning to the nest area in-between. Around 12:15 p.m., he heads to the shoreline to the north and then spends a half hour in the trees northwest of the nest.

Around 1:15 p.m. Charlie makes a second trip to the mouth of the Thames River and this time heads west into a residential area of New London near the Lighthouse Inn, but does not stay and returns to the nest on Fishers Island and remains nearby by between 2-5 p.m. He then fishes on the north shore and returns to the nest area.

Around 6:30 p.m. he makes a third trip to the Thames River, and fishes between Goss Gove north of the Gold Star Bridge and the mouth of the river from 7:15-8 p.m., then returns to the island by 8:15 p.m. and fishes along the north and southern shores before returning to the nest at 9:15 p.m. and remains nearby for the night.
