June 5 Around 4:30 a.m. Charlie makes a quick trip to the south shore and returns to the nest. Between 8:15-10 a.m., he takes a break in the trees to the northwest, then returns to the nest until 1:45 pm. In the afternoon he heads to the mouth of the Thames River by 2:30 p.m. and continues north to reach Goss Cove in Groton around 3:15 p.m., then returns to Fishers Island around 5:15 p.m.. Charlie stays near the nest until 6:30 p.m., then heads to the north shore, then northwest towards the mouth of the Thames River, and returns to the north shore of Fishers Island around 8:30 p.m., and then heads south to his night spot in the trees northwest of the nest for the night.
