June 4 Around 4:45 a.m. Charlie leaves the nest area on the west end of Fishers Island to hunt along the northern shoreline, then stops on a pole near the nest from 6-6:30 a.m., and then returns to the nest around 6:45 a.m., where he stays until noon. He then makes a few trips to fish along the nearby shorelines to the south and north, returning to the nest in-between.

Around 2 p.m. he heads north to Groton Reservoir, then northwest for a short break on a pole near the Gold Star Bridge, but returns to Fishers Island before 4 p.m. and remains near the nest until 6:30 pm. In the early evening, Charlie makes a few trips around the west end to fish and returns to the nest in-between, then takes a break in his night spot to the northwest from 9:30-10:30 p.m., but returns to the nest area for the rest of the night.
